I would wait on the predatory mites since a lot of crabs will go down right away to molt. A few mite baths may clear up the issue before it even starts. Only if you have a serious outbreak o you need to start looking as your mite fighting options.

back to topic: It seems that my Larvae project No 11 is successfully! Today the first of the "Halloweenies" are on the land. :banana: It is day 37. In my first successfull experiment they get to land at day 42. A second Halloweene came later. But he went back to the water. You will find the picture...

My straw deposited a twice the last time as well, maybe 16 hours apart, that's why I didn't catch the second drop very quickly. Good luck!!

the tank looks great! But I agree with rocky, I will only keep a dozen or so in my my 115 gallon with 4x1.5 feet x 10 inches of substrate. When I've done a deep clean my crabs were molting in 5 inch caves they made for themselves. Imagine 15 crabs trying to do that in your substrate space that's not...
