i thought hermit crabs were unable to breed in captivity?
if you watch the video it shows the "process" up to when the larvae was hatched. Last i knew (in 07 or 08) this was deemed impossible?

sounds to me like he's still destressing, it can take as little as a day but up to 2 months for a crab to finally be comfortable in his/her new home. i wouldn't worry about it to much if you're worried about him/her not eating try placing some fresh berries or plants by the log and see if she/he goe...

i agree with Lasuna, it's due to lack of the correct nutrients before his/her last molt but with you now having him/her i'm sure during his/her next molt he'll be a brightly colored PP if not the next molt then the one after
