Re: Freaking out
Last night my son and I got all the proper shells for this crabs size, and scattered them around the tank hoping he would swap. They've always been in there but I guess he never made it up to the shell shop. Sure enough, this morning he was in a new shell. Thank goodness. This is what his shell look...

Re: Freaking out
Ok so here is the update....LOL I separated them a few times. Then the older crab got smart and had his eye on the newer guy and if he got close, he would go the other way. When I went to bed they were no where near each other and same this morning. The shells were really messed up so I think he was...

Re: Freaking out
The one who was being the agressor is new to the tank, and it might be about a shell because his is in rough shape but we have tons of shells for him to take.....The one he was attacking has not molted recently.....I will keep watching them.
Thanks

Freaking out
I don't know what I just witnessed.....my new crab was on top of one of my older crabs....and there was a noise. I could hear them making a squeeky noise. They were 3 feet away and I could hear it over all the other noise in my house. It seemed like the one on top of the other was using his big pinc...

Re: My Crabs do nothing
My husband had to get up at 4:30 am so I got up and checked the crabs....one was out and about. The other was in the same spot and position as it was before I went to bed. I know this because of the way he had one of his legs. Then again around 7:30 I checked, the one that had not moved was still in...

Re: My Crabs do nothing
Two are molting right now in my 10 gallon. These two have not molted with me yet. One I have had a month, the other a little less than a week. I'm pretty sure it could be a little warmer in there....I will probably get a heat lamp. I also finally found cholla with decent shipping, so that is coming....

My Crabs do nothing
It's so frustrating, and worrisome because I worry that something is wrong. Crabcakes has been with me for a month now, and when we got him/her there were two other pals that came with him, which are both molting (*I hope*). So he seemed very lonely, and never did anything. I smoothed sand and next ...

Re: Crabs not very active
The one crab that is not molting right now in my tank does the same thing. Stays in the same spot all the time.
I check occassionally and he's fine, but I swear he does not move

Re: How long does de-stressing take?
I stayed up quite late last night and saw two of them.
I guess they are just hiding.
I think one of the 3 is molting though.
Guess I will just wait to find out.

Re: How long does de-stressing take?
Connor buried himself yesterday. Can't even see him. At least Shakespeare choose a corner so I know he's alive lol Good luck on waiting. It's been 1 week for Shakespeare now. I think my largest and my smallest are in the same hole (at least it looked that way the last time I saw them.....the other ...
