Re: Looking for lightweight turbo shell with 2" opening
Unfortunately Jumbo shells seem to be becoming extremely hard to find now. Since both Naples and HCP are sold out this was the closest I could find. https://www.amazon.com/Hermit-Banded-Na ... 09&sr=8-15

I know this is an old post but I have ordered several ultratherms from The Bean Farm and have never had them arrive bent.

Re: Water Conditioner Brands
I personally don't use any water conditioner that has that slime/shine coat additive in it because crabs don't need that, and I'm not sure it's safe for them. I've been using this one for years. I also buy bottled water for my crabs though, and add this as a precaution. I never give them tap water. ...

I wish I had some vendor like that where I live. I'm almost out of my oak and maples leaves.

Yes, she still replies to her link on her crabitat post. I think she upgraded it to a 110 a few years ago. :) Did she?? I'm definitely going to have out check that out! Looks gorgeous! Thank you!! One of my favorite things about this 90 gallon is that my crabs are out constantly now....

Re: New 90 gallon with vines and netting
Thanks for the compliments guys! The substrate I use is pure Eco Earth, and I have about 11 inches in there right now. I want to add more but then everything in my tank would become more crammed at the top. I love using pure EE because the tunnels hold better, the humidity holds better, and pure EE ...

New 90 gallon with vines and netting
Hey guys, I thought I post some pics of my 90 gallon with some renovations I did recently. I added the netting over the weekend. You can get a large recycled genuine fish net at Michael's crafts store, which is where I got mine. This tank also as three large vines and two moss pits in it. One moss p...

Re: Tall vs. Long Tanks
Ideally you will want to go with a tank that is both tall and long. Tall so that you can have deep sub for them to bury in, and long so that they can have ample amount of room to move around. Plus, you'll be able to put more decor in the tank without overcrowding the crabs. I started with a 40 gal b...

Re: HELP: Can large loud bubblers disturb/scare crabs?
My crabs were scarred of the bubblers at first but once they got use to it they would go into the pools and sit in the bubbles. You could attach an air flow control valve to turn down the bubbles a bit if you wanted to. I have valves on both of my pools. They're pretty cheap and you can find them at...

She needs to be reported. It's really easy. Here is the number (858) 453-7845. Make sure you get the stores address before you call in. Did you get the name of the female who squeezed the lizard? They will want her name as well. Report every sing of neglect and animal abuse that you've seen. That em...

Re: Substrate
I use pure EE aka coco fiber. I did switch to using a mixture of sand and EE but the sand dries the substrate out super fast and there was a huge risk of tunnel collapse, so I switched back to pure EE. Do you make the ee moist? Sent from my C5215 using Tapatalk Yes, and because it is pure EE it hol...

Re: Need advice ASAP please
They are most likely molting which is perfectly natural. This process can take months depending on the crab size. The best thing you can do is to leave them alone. Do not disturb them, and definitely do not go digging around looking for them. Here is the link to the section about molting. http://www...
