Okay, I'll admit it..i'm not very good at measuring shells for my crabbies. I was wondering if someone could show me a visual on how they measure their crabs shell so I know I'm not being a moron. I'm trying to figure out what watt of heating bulbs to get for my crabbies. Currently, the room around the tank is around 65 - 70 degrees and the tank itself is sitting at a solid 70 degrees (which is why i'm desperate to figure out these things!). Awesome! Crabs are really picky and finicky about their shells. Probably afraid that if she changed out of her current shell then someone else would take it and she'd be stuck with a possibly inferior in size shell.

I managed to steal a couple shrimp from our fried rice meal today before they were cooked. Would the crabs eat the shrimp raw, or would it being cooked be better for them?
