Re: Hygrotherm questions
This is exactly what I have and I LOVE it!! It gives me so much freedom now!! It did take a bit of tweaking in the beginning, getting used to it and finding the perfect combination and it's true it has a bit of a "range" but it's still within acceptable variables. I've never tried anything else othe...

Re: Good Humidifier?
Here are a few pics I was still setting up my tank at this point so the pools aren't in yet and I did a few adjustments after this was taken, but you can see in the left corner the moss pit filling up with mist and mist going down the front (sorry for the blurriness) http://i1239.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Rescued crabbies from outside, never owned one before!
I don't know much about this humidifyer... but if you start a new post in crabitat conditions a lot of people will be able to jump in and give you advice. Getting that top closed, if you haven't done it yet should help a lot and of course misting at least twice a day. I bought a room humidifyer and ...

Re: Rescued crabbies from outside, never owned one before!
Hi and welcome to this great forum!! :cheer: I would just like to add that humidity is really difficult to maintain and is a problem for a lot of us! A little trick that I used to do is mist the wood branches, silk plants, coco fiber wall and anything else that might retain water a little longer tha...

Re: How usefull is a filter in a small pool
So what you're saying is, filters are only good for maintaining a cycled tank, other than that they have no use? But I can't cycle 6 cups of water.... can I? Edit: You just made me realize that there's not really any reason to filter water that is full of amonia and nitrites... makes sense. I should...

How usefull is a filter in a small pool
Hello all :) I've been making some overdue changes to the crabitat since everybody is up and about. I got bigger containers for the pools and I was wondering... how usefull are filters in un-cycled small fw and sw pools? If it helps, I can make a sponge filter but if it doesn't save me work then I'l...

Re: The Hermit Crab Garden - ~New Cookies in Stock~
And sorry about the hassle with shipping costs. I'm trying to find an easier way! It's not a hassle at all, firstly I'm used to it, I've been buying stuff on the net for many years (I just placed an order last week with Naples and it was the same thing) and secondly you're are so kind about ...

Re: The Hermit Crab Garden - ~New Cookies in Stock~
The only downside to that is it'll make them human safe and then I'll either need to have hubby lock them away or make like a triple batch so I don't each them all. They are delish! :hlol: You can't get the mysis shrimp? Was that something up with the store or is that something you looked int...
