Re: Operation Adoption
Yeah, my parents and friends think I'm crazy. And now that you mention the cholla, I think I'll ask for any supplies too

Curlz bread them. In the thread posted by Calla, there's even a pic of them after 1 year of life.

Re: Some of my Crabs
I'd agree with that. The eye stalks are dark. Are there any prominent stitch marks on the BP?

Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks, moon. The only thing I really need to put up is the fake plants around the rim, so the corner guard seems like a good idea. I think, though, that I've seen people just drill directly into the rim on the tank. It might have been Kuza. I do use a lot of zipties as well. I think that suction cu...

Re: Possible attack between new crab
Haha, didn't notice that either, nice catch Calla. Several times I've seen my crabs dumping poop like that. It's almost like they're taking out the trash  I agree with Calla, too, that we all overstress about our crabs. I actually used to have nightmares about them escaping or going naked, etc,...

Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks guys Unfortunately, as I had feared, 2 of the command hooks have already fallen. Does anybody know of some good, lasting, suction cups that I could order from, perhaps, amazon?

Re: 90 Gallon Finished (not really)
Thanks, I'm finally happy to have what I believe is a "permanent" crabitat. I no longer have to worry about upgrading

Re: does anyone get tired of the feeding?
Hahahahahaha! I love it :hlol: Luckily, I don't have that issue. I'll typically feed them right before going to bed. I have a moonlight on my tank, so I get to see them at night, too. And like I said, I'll leave the food out for a night or two occasionally, but usually not to the point of getting mo...

90 Gallon Finished (not really)
So I finished with the 90 gallon :) . . .well, I still plan on updating pools, adding cholla wood, and maybe a couple other things, but it's still really nice. It has a split bottom, with 10" of sub. There's a 1:5 mixture of eco earth on one side and a mix of play and all purpose sand on the other. ...

Re: Possible attack between new crab
Yeah, my crabs sit like that when they are cleaning or dumping poop, lol. If she just changed shells, I would agree that she is most likely cleaning it out.

How many crabs?
So I just set up my new 90 gallon tank. It has a substrate divider, so that I have half of it with a 1:5 eco earth mixture and half of it with a mix of play sand and all purpose sand. The substrate is 10", and leaves me with 14" of vertical space. I have a substantial second level of 3 large shower ...
