Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing
Tried out a whole dehydrated crawfish from The Healthy Hermit. They loved it! The second picture is from about an hour after I put it in the tank. Within a few days they had basically devoured it, leaving behind a little bit of exo. In the other dish they had and a fruit mix, vegetable mix, and a co...

Re: Crabotanicals F-
I've ordered from crabotanicals several times, and have never had a issue. I hope everything is ok and this gets sorted out! Their products are really great, my crabs have always loved everything I've gotten.

Re: Removing painted shell
I would remove the painted shell, but you need to get more natural shells to leave in the tank. I have ordered many shells from naples seashell company, but there are other sources listed on the shopping resources page too. You can also check out the shell guide on here to see what types of shells c...

Re: New here
Welcome! There is a guide to help with uploading pictures in the pictures section of the forum, or you could download the tapatalk app to post pictures that way (this is what I've started doing and it's a little easier.)

I know! He's so brightly colored. I love the shell he picked too. It really makes him stand out.PinchersAndShells wrote:WOW that is one red crab! You got yourself a beauty there!

Newly adopted crab!
A couple days ago I responded to someone who posted about a crab they found outside (in OH, not anywhere a wild crab would be) that needed to find a good home. I went and picked it up this morning. It was in a painted shell, and immediately switched into this pretty polished shell when we got home. ...

Re: My 40B setup
Eventually I'd like to add a topper so I have more height to work with.

Re: My 40B setup
Thanks!
I had a 55g before I bought the 40B and they definitely have more horizontal space to move around in in the 40 gallon.

MI, OH, IL, IN Adopters
I'm no longer able to adopt at this time. Over the last week I have adopted a large crab and 3 teenies, putting my total count to 8 crabs in a 40B tank. This is all I'm comfortable with for the moment.

My 40B setup
Hi guys! It's been a long time since I've posted on here, and I realized I never posted any pictures of my last tank upgrade (almost 2 years ago now.) So here's my 40 gallon breeder tank. These pictures were taken when I first set it up, but it's basically the same except I now have a mesh lid cover...

Re: Ultratherm UTH questions
Thank you! That's how I have it, I just wanted to make sure it was right. I'm covering the sides now to see if that helps.

Ultratherm UTH questions
I'm in the process of setting up a 40B tank, and this is my first time using an Ultratherm UTH. I have it insulated with aluminum foil and cardboard, on the back of the tank above the substrate. It has been on all night and has only raised the temp of the tank about 2 degrees. I am going to insulate...
