Mushroom/Fungus Floating in false bottom water
Please help guys - I don't know if this is dangerous or not. I will syphon out the water after posting. I'm not sure how to post a picture, but the best way I can describe it is two white floating mushroom looking things in the false bottom water. They each have a long spore looking appendage reachi...

cholla wood?
my crabs have been snacking on cholla wood. I'm assuming it's safe since lots of crab owners use it in their tanks. Just wanted to check! One of mine has been snacking on it quite a bit!

Re: E not active
Thanks for the replies guys! Yes, it does sound like PPS a bit. I am going to leave him and hope he molts soon. Others are not bothering him and I can easily boost the humidity since I have plenty of moss. I got an awesome protein and calcium variety pack recently. They also have coral to munch on. ...

E not active
Hi all, I have always had PP's before, but I wanted to branch out to Es. A few weeks ago I got two adorable little guys. One is down molting now, but I am worried about the other as he never really seems to move away from one tiny spot by a giant heating pad. He just seems to hang his body out and "...

Re: What's the least smelly moss?
What are your thoughts on Moss balls for pools? They seem pretty neat but I don't know if they're safe or even helpful in any way. Had anyone used these before? Here's one that I was looking at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004MYIENA/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1425565781&sr=8-2&keywords=Exo+terra+moss&dpP...

Re: Sow bugs/pill bugs/ Rollie pollies?
You know I tried this in the fall.... It was so fun! But I ran in to a problem each time I introduced about 10 rollie pollies... They would disappear! There were a couple of times I saw one go underground. But when it came time to change 6-8 inches of sand I didn't know what to do! Any thoughts on w...

Re: Heating/humidity advice wanted!
Hi Meg! You know I actually have an Acurite for my home. I put that in last night and humidity wasn't off as much as I thought (it's at 73). I do mix EE and play sand. I think I'll get another Acurite for the tank :) In not sure of the brand of the pad I have now, but it's pretty small (about 3x3 in...
