Tank Flooding
This has been occurring for a few months now, but my tank's substrate has been flooding at the bottom. Originally, I figured I was over-wetting the substrate, by pouring the water bowls into the dirt when I change them. I stopped doing this, but the flooding is still occurring. The water is a red/br...

Re: Missing for Weeks: Another Question
Are your gauges digital or analog? Have they been calibrated? Have you filled the emergency help template out already? Sent from my LGLS665 using Tapatalk UPDATE: Gatsby (the PP) has become more active and has been seen eating at the food bowl. He also has been climbing onto the cuttlebone! My hygr...

Re: Missing for Weeks: Another Question
Could it be that maybe they are eating such little portions that you don't notice? How long have you had said crab (they often are inactive/destressing)? Also, what is your temp and humidity at? This a good reason for the behavior. Sent from my LGMS330 using Tapatalk I have owned this crab for abou...

Re: Missing for Weeks: Another Question
Are your conditions up to par? Try honey? Are you handling them? Sent from my LGMS330 using Tapatalk They are up to par. I have two bowls of water, one salt, one fresh. The bowls are big enough to submerge their lower half. I have about 5 inches of EE/S substate, thernometer, hygrometer, fresh food...

Missing for Weeks: Another Question
About a week ago I had made a post here about how my crab had been missing for a while, and how I found him. A week and a few days later, this crab still doesn't eat, and very rarely comes out of his shell. Will he make it? He has two missing limbs.

Incense issues? Possibly toxic?
I have been having a mysterious problem with one (possibly 2) of my crabs the past 2 days. My crab, Broc, is usually very active. I came home two nights ago (August 19) and found him in the main tank on his back, slightly covered with substrate, and not very responsive. I flipped him back over and ...

Missing for weeks
Please help!! I haven't seen my crab, Gatsby, in more than two weeks and I thought that he was molting. My mom woke me up about 15 minutes ago with Gatsby in his shell. She said "is he dead?" And I knew he wasn't because he didn't smell. He is barely moving, if at all. My mom found him in her bathro...

Re: My crab has been underground really long! Please help?
My pp crab has been underground for like 6 weeks as of tonight. I'm a bit worried. My crabs seem to do this quite often, but don't come up looking any different. I got them from the pet store in March and one of them were surface molting when I got it. It died because of it! I don't want to lose an...

@crabinski
Let's hope it holds up well enough before I have to resort to super glue!

Re: Remodeling!!
A really cute DIY you can do is to make your own crab hut/ramp! All you need are sticks (of all thicknesses), hot glue, and shell decor (optional) You take two thick sticks and glue them together at the top like an x shape. From here you glue sticks around until you make a hut like shape, and then d...

@GotButterflies
I found on YouTube that a way to keep in humidity would be to use duct tape. I figured it was affordable, and gave it a try! The tape does a very good job at keeping in humidity, and keeps the tank about 87%!! Thank you so much for the compliment

New 20 Gallon Long tank
It has been a while since I last posted on this forum, and I figured I could give everyone an update on my hermies! Two years ago, at a beach boardwalk, I rescued two PPs from a souvenir shop.One crab was named Taz, who was smaller in size, and the other crab was named Bruce. Unfortunately, two week...
