That's possible! Or, he may be digging for fun! I have a crab that goes down for a while, doesn't molt or anything but must comes up at random times!

Re: 29 Gallon Stocking
Hey everyone! When I wrote this, I was kind of anxious about my crabs so it got a little dark. I think I'll rephrase it and say, "I am on the lookout for a new 55 gallon really close to Milwaukee and I will update you with anything I find." If anyone on this site has a 55 gallon with stand and light...

Re: 29 Gallon Stocking
Hey everyone! I just wanted to update and ask some questions. Due to space, I am not sure I will be able to get a 55 gallon tank. I have 9 crabs, and know that I am overstocked with a 29 and 10 gallon tank. They are mostly small, but 1 is borderline large. Is the only alternative adopting out some o...

29 Gallon Stocking
Hello Everyone! Sorry if this isn't in the right spot. Haven't been on in a while, but am glad to be back! Currently, I have a 29 gallon and 10 gallon tank. In the 29 gallon, I have 4 smalls and 3 medium PPs, and in the 10 gallon, I have a Large that is molting and a small that just came up. I thoug...

Re: Good store for cholla?
I get Cholla Wood on Amazon, for a pretty good price, but also Hobby Lobby for 2.50 a log. I am not sure where you live but craft stores usually stock them pretty inexpensively.

Re: Havent seen crabs in months
My sister has a crab that only comes up once every couple months for 1-2 days and goes back down again. The crab is a large crab so she is most likely molting. Also, your crab(s) might just like being underground digging! Don't be worried unless the tank starts to smell. Sent from my iPad using Tapa...

Re: Re-Arranging
We are all good! Added new substrate and the crabs are much better and no rotten smell anymore! Thank you all for the recommendations!

Re: Hermit Crab buried, may be dead.
Thank you so much. She was moving around a lot before hand but seemed to have settled down in this area. Hopefully she will be able to molt successfully.

Beautiful crabs! I had the same situation. One PP left at petco by himself. I was glad to give him a better home.

This sounds great! I would also consider buying some exotics! Can't wait!
