Crab Stuck In Fish Net
Hello everyone. Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here it goes. Tonight I discovered one of my Es deeply entangled in the fish net I have draping off of my shell shop. I used a very small scissors to cut through the net itself, then it took me about 20 minutes to gently cut off ...

Crabs + Species Identification
Hey Everyone! I've been a long time member of the HCA but haven't been active for a while so it's great to be back! I took a short break from crabbing, (a few months without crabs) until I went to petco and saw exotics that I couldn't resist saving (against my better judgement of course, it's not re...

Re: What am I doing wrong?
This may seem a bit obvious, or overlooked, but maybe you just need to spray your tank a few more times each day to keep the humidity up. I used to spray once a day and would have inactive crabs, kind of like your situation but I have started spraying a couple times a day and leaving the light off a...

Re: HC food from Ebay
I was going to buy some food but had a dehydrator so I did my own! I blanched the vegetables and soaked the fruits in a remedy of 1/2 water 1/2 lemon juice.

HC food from Ebay
Hey Everyone! I have been having trouble finding things around the house to feed my crabs, so I am planning on getting some food online for them. Has anyone ever bought some from this vender? Everything looks okay but wanted to double check. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hermit-Crab-Food-Calcium-Minerals-...

Re: 75 Gallon Redo
Love your tank!! Beautiful and natural looking :D The center climbing piece is my fav - I would have never thought to put fishnet over it but I love the look! We also have an underground moss pit but being the nosy person I am ( like a helicopter parent really ) we put it against the glass so we co...

Hey everyone! I have been lingering for about 3 years and posted a few things, but haven't posted many pictures and info about my crabs so I thought I'd post some. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160828/24c525ff4660038a5574528bf5843df2.jpg Full 75 Gallon http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160828/f...

Re: 75 Gallon Redo
I'm loving that climbing piece! It looks so fun, I want to try! ~~~~~ Best to keep an eye on the coconut ramps to the pools, I could see the potential for all the water to wick out of them and flood your tank. Thank you for the feedback! I will hopefully be getting plastic mesh, but this was ...

Re: Color of legs after molt
@isadoraisacat This should be fine, some of my crabs have odd colors like that. The only other thing I could think of would be the molt not being entirely complete, but that's highly unlikely. A picture would help determine if it's a problem, but don't sweat it now. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
