I think it is Post Purchase Syndrome/Stress (PPS). It is when a hermit crab goes from being in a bad condition to a good one in a short amount of time. Their body can't handle that. If I were you, I would put the crab in an isolation tank and feed it plenty of calcium foods, just in case it was shell disease. I've heard that is could spread to other crabs. I have heard that you can insulate your crab cage with Styrofoam from your local hardware store. When you pick out Styrofoam, the better R value the better it holds heat.
