Re: Canadian Crab Connection
I love them. I love how she personalizes everything with the little stickers. In my very first order from them, she even wrote me a little card that said thank you. It was awesome. She did have a big emergency. I'm in the same crab group as her on facebook and saw all the pictures. It was horrible. ...

Humidity stuck at 93%
Hi guys. I'm kind of at a loss for what to do. I have a 30 gallon tub. Everything in it is perfect except the humidity. I don't have moss in there. There's just the sand mixed with EE and the two pools. The lid of the tub is covered with as many holes as I could get in there. There has to be like 50...

Re: Sad, sad day. Only 1 survivor.
What else can I give him for calcium/protein? I gave them a cuttlebone before and none of them would touch it. I've tried organic peanut butter but they didn't like that, or unseasoned cooked chicken... Good news though... My crab is loving his bin. He's being really active and eating up a storm. We...

Re: Sad, sad day. Only 1 survivor.
I had them since Jan. They all molted with me. Foods... Geez, they get so many different kinds. I always keep peanuts/shells in there. They loved munching on them. I'd find peanuts all over the place lol. I keep apples, bananas, coconut and husks, so many different fruits in the freezer for them. Wh...

Re: Sad, sad day. Only 1 survivor.
Yep, perfect sandcastle consistency
I have added the levels. I built a jungle gym thing out of Tupperware containers and those grass mat things. The pools are nice and deep with a way to climb in and out. I'll post some pics later!

Re: Sad, sad day. Only 1 survivor.
Okay, this is the info for my new tote crabitat. Not the old one these guys were in. It's all shut down. 1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? A mix of play sand and EE. 8 inches deep. 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If so, where ar...

Sad, sad day. Only 1 survivor.
This isn't really an emergency, but I wasn't sure where else to put this... I've posted a lot today and that's because I've been working on setting up a tub for my hermies. I got everything all set up, went to get them from their old tank... Only 1 was alive. The other 3 were in their hides and when...

Re: Question about ultratherms
They're pp's. If they'll be fine at 75 then I'll just leave it for now. I'm not sure how I'd keep that long thing from bending!

Question about ultratherms
This is probably a really stupid question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but thought I would ask anyway. I've set up my 30g tub and everything is good except the heat (humidity is at 92% but I just set the thing up. I'm sure it'll taper off but if not, I can just put more holes in the lid). H...

Re: Tote size?
Got everything set up. Equivalent of a 30 gallon. Humidity is at 78% with just water and heat is at 74. Back of the tub is already insulated with heavy duty tinfoil. Hopefully the temp goes up a bit more and I don't have to do much else to it.

Re: Tote size?
I guess I'll have to go check them out and bring a measuring tape lol. I do have a 20 gallon reptile tank but I've had issues keeping humidity/heat in tanks before. I've seen the light when it comes to tubs as I've gotten 2 ball pythons in the last month and their tubs are super easy to keep. Guess ...

Tote size?
Hi everyone. Haven't been around for a while... Long story short, I am moving and am not able to keep the 150 gallon :( I'm going to have to switch my crabs (4) to a tote. A tank isn't an option right now. I have plans to make lots of levels and climbing things, attaching them to the side of the tub...

Re: No idea what I'm doing wrong... crab shelless again!! [D
Just thought I'd let you guys know that he didn't make it. I found him this morning curled up naked (again) in his water and he was gone. It's the first crab I've lost since I started this... I'm sad but I knew, deep down, that he wouldn't make it. He just wouldn't keep a shell on and that's pretty ...
