What type of silicone would be appropriate? I've found this, is this harmful at all or will it be okay?

Re: Possible e or ruggie?
It's been 3weeks going on a month since I brought my E home (Dec 16th, '18) and I haven't seen him pop back up. Pros; There's no distinct smell from the tank, he was obviously needing a good molt, was missing some of his claw, so I'm hoping he's taking the extra time to get adjusted. There's also a ...

Thanks I was thinking the same thing but didn't know if I was being too picky or not. [emoji122]aussieJJDude wrote:I personally would leave as is. A 20g doesn't have a large footprint, and ultimately your two crabs will grow and require space.

Re: Possible e or ruggie?
Hi! Long time no see! It's an E. :D Petco gets them sometimes. Sent from my LGMS550 using Tapatalk That's what I feared lol in this case with only a 20g tall could I fit in a species buddy? I have him and a large PP right now but I don't want to crowd the big guy with two overactive Es. Would that ...

Re: List of DIY Projects
Looking for a lid cure so to speak. I got the thickest acrylic Lowe's had for my lid , had it cut to be 3in from the front so there's a long strip that doubles as a hinged lid, add hinges and a handle and viola but sadly not so simple. Both my cats like to sleep on the lid and now it bowes in the mi...

Possible e or ruggie?
I just adopted a new teenie hermit crab with long eyes, from Petco. I know PetSmart is strictly PP's, at least in my area, but Petco may have mixed breeds. So he's in a cute lil shell, he's a very light color and has long eyes and is in a shell unlike a pp would normally be in. Was wondering if I go...

Re: Newly remodeled!
I think 4 tiny-medium crabs in a 20g (long or tall?) is fine. I do have to agree on the subject of sub though, six+ inches makes for a safer molt!! Not all crabs are aggressive, not all crabs are protein-deprived (as I see yours aren't ;)) and the lonely thing is more of a comfort because it's a fam...

Re: What are your crabs up to?
Went to turn on the tank light this morning to find a toppled over moss pit. Baby was chilling in the moss pit underneath it (that's supposed to support it) no doubt the crab that broke the moss pits suction (they're my biggest) and three other active crabbies :) I may need to rethink my decor arran...

Tried snatching a photo when I first noticed it, after I posted to the forums she was back in the moss pit.

Species specific question
Can a PP have the orange/yellow tipped feelers? My tiny Boo has a light color, orange fuzzier feelers and eyes too hidden and small to tell their shape (she's in a 3/4" petholatus tapestry turbo that's too big) I'm really not sure enough to think I somehow managed to get an exotic by accident so tho...

Re: 60g(ish) upgrade setting up
Sorry for the late post! Spring cleaning fever is strong in this house rn. So I got 7 crabs moved over to the new tank, waiting on only 5 now in the 37g. Everything has been put in the new tank because it all can fit (yuuussss!!) Besides the low (8-10 in) sub level (the rest is in the 37g with my mo...

Re: No Sounds At All
Do you mean sounds from activity like clunking about? If so, have you seen them out and about recently day or night?
