Re: Sugar Glider: good pets?
When I had two dogs my little female (Pickles) would always pee on my other dogs head. It was so weird. She would just walk over to him and pee on his head! I was constantly giving him baths.

Re: Crab pinboard
If I were shooting that I would be so worried I would crush them as I walked. I wonder if they just set up a go-pro and hoped for the best. Also, that article is pretty great. I have always thought it was odd that crabs have very distinctive tastes in shells.

Re: Crab pinboard
It blew my mind. I had no idea that MANY crabs could be together in the wild. I found this awesome article on shell selection: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-new ... 180947794/

Sugar Glider: good pets?
I have wanted a sugar glider for at least 15 years. I held off because they seem like a HUGE commitment and I do not want to be irresponsible. Ethically, I also have a bit of an issue with them since I am not sure if I can trust breeders (the minimum requirement for USDA breeders is shockingly low)/...

article on 3-D printed shells
I found this article and thought other people might like to read it: http://mashable.com/2013/08/07/3d-printed-shells-hermit-crabs/ Anyway, I know that clear shell/ let alone ones with skyscrapers on top are not a good option for your crabs. The artist work was clearly to make a point, and not actua...

Re: Iron levels in water
Thank you all for he help. The water is a "normal" color again! I am not sure if the little guys can tell the difference but it makes me feels better to use the well water. I just bought a humidifier for the crabs (with my heat on the air seems dry.) Do you have a suggestion of what to use in the hum...

Re: dumbest things people have said about your crabs/other p
I know! People are always amazed when I tell them each of my crabs has a very distinct personality...sometimes it's the only way to tell who's who when they're all wearing green turbos  ! My niece the other day asked me which of my crabs is "the mean one." I point out one of my PP who is kind ...

Re: dumbest things people have said about your crabs/other p
Well this is about my other pet, my dog. He is a small mutt with crazy curly hair. He is not the most traditionally attractive dog, but I love him. I have a picture of him on my desk and a person looked at it and asked if he was my pet sheep. I informed her it was my DOG. She did not believe me. Sad...

Re: Iron levels in water
Thank you again for both of your help. I recently had my favorite PP die so I am a bit more paranoid than normal. I "mis-tiped," I have not been using distilled water I have been using Dasani bottled water. I did not read anything about chlorine on the label. Do you think it contains anything odd? W...
