I think you'd be okay getting the larger UTH. It'll probably raise your temp 4-5 degrees. I wouldn't worry about it being close to the water dishes.

Poor guy! I'm sorry. I don't think there is too much you can do. I would make it dark for him by putting a towel over the pot. Put honey and peanut butter on a q tip and put it right near his mouth parts. Make sure he has several shells near him. Hopefully his exo that fell off in the water is near ...

Looks very good! Are the ladders painted? If so, I might consider sanding them down to get it off. If the crabs eat the paint it might hurt them. I would double the amount of sand - or maybe mix it with Eco Earth (coconut fiber). 6-8 inches for your crabs seems right. I can't tell for sure but it lo...

What type of moss do you have? I use sphagnum moss. I soak it in fresh, declorinated water and squeeze it out before putting it in my pit. It stays moist for about 3 days. I mist it if the tank needs more humidity otherwise I soak it about once a week. Usually change it out completely after 3-4 week...

Hmmm, very strange. I hate to say it but that doesn't sound good. Can you see any part of his body or is he tucked up in the shell? Can you post a picture without disturbing him too much?
