Re: Crawling dead
Isolate your sick crab. The brown spots might sound like mites. If they are, you dont want them getting to your other hermies. Your isolation tank should be the same temp and humidity, if it is both 74-82°F. If you see the brown stuff building up, see if you can find an exotic vet that knows about h...

Re: Adhering Decorations Permanently?
Have you tried adding little water to the cups? It can make them stick again. I would say super glue is fine if it doesn't have a strong smell.

Re: Crab stole shell from molting crab
This is natural crab behavior, so there is no shock. Your #2 crab that is molting will find a new shell once it has come up from a molt. If you find that both crabs want the same shell, try buying a shell very similar. I hope this helps. Tell me how it goes!

Re: Hermit crab molting shell opening face down?
Would you like to go over your conditions? The position is not the issue. Crabbers unite!!! i agree, maybe the hermit crab isn't all the way under or i the "weird" position because the sand isn't deep enough. If this molt is successful, make sure you have enough substrate so the crab can cover its ...

Re: Darn it, Draco!
NEVER dig a crab up when you think its molting. It is posssible for your jumbo crab to molt again i rare cases if he didnt feel like the molt was comfortable enough, like you said, he had cuts and scrapes. He could also just have some stress if youve been moving the tank around. Just wait to see, ju...
