So he is just de-stressing.

You could get motion activated camera that keeps the feed saved on the camera and not to the computer.

He is stressed, so he is de-stressing he probably is coming out at night to eat and drink, give him time when he is ready he will come up and that is when you can move. He might be molting but it is less likely.

If you keep the conditions right and give them lots of healthy, yummy food. And they will molt when they are ready

Just keep trying, and maybe you could buy some cuttle bone from the bird section. You could crush those up

I have done that before and it has never drown them, but they where only ever under the water for 1 or 2 minutes not a second more, and I let them walk around under the water, I didn't hold them under, but you may not want to do this and that is quite alright.

I haven't used it either but I think that is what it is.
