I have a few that keep themselves buried under the sand. Why is that? Is it cooler under there?

currently i am using plexi glass as the lid with the corners cutout to make air get in there. the humidifier no i have not tried that. the fan i just put ofer one of the plexi glass holes but within10 minutes the humidity is down to 40-50% and i turn it off.

I recently discovered if you buy a small fish air blower and put the hose in a bowl of water (mine is set on a shelf in the tank) it helps keep the humidity up a lot. And I'm in Az where we have no humidity. It cost me only $10

I need some more help. my crabitat still will not drop below 75°. I finally managed to get the humidity under control with a bowl of water and a air pump. He (Oscer) was still the bright colors until a few weeks ago. i brought him home in sept and he immediatley went and molted i assume because i couldnt find him for a while. he has since then been colorful until a few weeks ago. Well I put a second thermometer on the (jungle side) of the tank a few days ago. And closed up two of the four holes I have. The Desert side stayed steady at 90 degrees and humidity has been around 80-90 (if recently misted. The Jungle side is staying at just under 80 degrees and around 50-60 humidi...
