Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

I finally gave up when they stopped contacting me. I had been hearing back on a regular basis until the first part of June. They emailed back saying they would find my order and ship in 2 weeks and said if they forgot I should email and they would ship "no matter what." It hit that 2 week mark and I...

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

Same here. I saw mixed reviews but lots of good. I didn't find this post until I was searching due to my own shipping delay.

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

Has anyone noticed though that instead of going out of business, she is adding reptiles to her page instead?

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

Wow! You are brave. I am still waiting on 2 PP and 4 Es ordered April 3rd. 4 weeks ago they emailed saying they would "ship in 2 weeks no matter what." I am hoping if I hang in there and be patient the crabs will eventually come. Keeping fingers crossed for both of us they don't go out of business f...

Re: Our first adoptee's first successful molt

Well Dozer must have been hungry after the molt. Last night, she ate (or at least spread in the sand) about a Tbsp of worm castings and some pretty big bites of the apple core I gave her. Tonight she is banging around the tank so loud, you would think she was going to crack the glass. Sent from my i...

Please pardon my daughter in the background. She was not happy with Daddy changing her.

Our first adoptee's first successful molt

My kids and I were so excited when we got home tonight. It only took 2 months but "Dozer" is finally up from his first molt with us. I was beginning to wonder if our first crab in good conditions had made it. He was the crab we had gotten at a pet store that had not sold one in 3 months. He was on b...

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

She told me 3 weeks on May 6th for my April 3rd order. I still don't have mine. I am beginning to think whatever she says in her emails is just to get us off her back until that time period passes.

The first one smells, but the second one with lost limbs does not. Should I leave it alone until it does?

Help! We lost 2 in 2 days.

1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? 2 blocks of ee to 1 40 bag of play sand 6 1/2 inches deep 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If so, where are they located and what temperature and humidity do they usually read? Yes on the right s...

LiveHermitCrabs.com closing due to medical issues

Hi. April orders will probably be shipping in 3 weeks. We are very behind due to a very snowy winter, as well, we are selling our remaining stock and closing due to medical issues. I'm unable to ship 50+ orders weekly so it is taking longer to catch up. I will email when we are ready to ship! Thank...

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com

Has anyone tried disputing the transaction with paypal? I am wondering how long i should wait before giving up on my order. Everytime that i email them, i get a new excuse on why it will be longer.

Re: Moo can't even fit his eyes in his shell!

Huh. We don't have any painted shells in our tank either. I guess I need to find out why mine picked a shell so small. It is a very plain and not even polished shell. I guess I will learn from someone else's opinion on this issue too.

Re: Moo can't even fit his eyes in his shell!

One of mine moved into a shell like that 3 days ago and it didn't hide his eyes either. Today he went under the sand and completely buried. I think it means they are getting ready to molt. I read somewhere that it is easier to dig in with a smaller shell. This is my first hermit crab to molt so it i...
