All hermies are up!
I made some panicked posts about my buried hermit crabs a while back. They all came up about a month ago and they seem happy and healthy. So now it's time for pictures! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/30/a83190088d9cd34c5e07a54f4226e3c8.jpg Xandir (my first) http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...

Can you smell a dead crab if it's buried?
Both my crabs have buried themselves and they recently stopped making digging noises at night. They're both under sperate water bowls and I don't want to move them in case they are molting. I mist the corners of the tank to keep the humidity under there. But if they are dead, will I be able to smell...

Re: Hiding Hermies?
Haha, yeah. They pretty much told me that they're easy to care for - just give them food and water. When I got home I did a TON of research and found out what they actually needed. Lol Their substrate is a mix of sand and coconut fiber dirt (can't remember the brand name! Eco something....). I have ...

Hiding Hermies?
I'm a new crabber and I'm probably just being paranoid, but both of my hermits buried themselves and won't come out! I bought them both from a mall kiosk about a month ago. They were lively and sociable when I got them, but a week ago they buried themselves and haven't been out since. Xandir shouldn...
