Re: suggestions on making my crabitat better?

Cucumber is on the safe foods list. You can check the list against stuff you have around your kitchen...they can eat all sorts of stuff we eat before it has seasoning or sauce added [emoji1] http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=92557 Lover of all things critter (except bugs and...

Re: Got a 20gal high setup

Thank you for the comment. I got the tapestry shells at Evas Feathers on Etsy.com They are very nice size and very clean. NO chips or cracks. I've ordered a few batches of shells from here as well. They were packaged well, as described and shipped quickly [emoji1] Lover of all things critter (excep...

I just got a custom sized hemp net from CamillesChoice and I can't wait to redo the 40g to incorporate it [emoji1] I asked her to make a 6"x35" net so it will cover the entire back of my tank above the sub...let the climbing frenzy begin lol Lover of all things critter (except bugs and birds [emoji1...

Re: Cocoa crabbies

I have my second order arriving Saturday. My dishes will come separately. I can't wait to post pictures if them. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Is this the dish that looks like a serving tray? Like a stick with several of the flat shells in a circle? I saw something like that on etsy I think ...

Re: My CL post worked!!

Still waiting to hear back on the new tank to see if that height it with or without stand. But I'm super stoked that my cranky crab seems far less cranky. He spent 2 nights in ISO jail with lots of protein and calcium + honey and some other goodies, several properly sized shells and total alone time...

Re: A shell-less molt?

I swear if I could find all midget crabs I would...they're so cute! Here's my Nugget. For a little dude he's awfully brave and has been everywhere in the tank even if it means going up and over the other guys in his way [emoji38] http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/06/61e0ba22186834bbcd368d2c485943...

water dish concern

Roughly how tall is your largest when he's standing normally? Seems most have dishes deep enough for largest to completely submerge so maybe his height + 1" or so?

Re: What are your crabs up to?

Silly crabs [emoji38] I have 5-6 empty hides right this second but a literal log jam. I have a 1/2 log hide and there are 3 under, 1 on top and one hanging off the side because he can't fit on top. Wonder what's so special about this specific hide? Lover of all things critter (except bugs and birds ...

Re: 500 gallon Crabitat

I have this idea in my head for like 2-4 gallon pools and some sort of drain system to make it easy to empty them. Like drain it from the bottom, rinse and refill. Thankfully my husband is handy and indulges my weird animal ideas [emoji1]

Re: 500 gallon Crabitat

Just saw the YouTube video of the completed 'tat...very cool! I'm curious as to how many gallons each of your pools are. My husband is contemplating building something similar and I'm trying to get a feel for how big the pools should be.

Big Shug (found out he's a she lol) laying upside down sort of kneading on the jute twine. Re: Ok, here goes :-)

Due to my newest round of adoptees (one of which is in ISO jail until he learns to play nicely), I added another kitchen shelf covered in cocofiber mat and wrapped in jute. This gives them 2 x 2 tier shelving units + the new 1 tier unit. I stuck most of their food dishes up on the new 2nd floor to g...
