Re: new crab parent - advise on immediate needs before city

Only two months ago I was in the position you were in.
You're doing great. As long as you get the stuff you need you're going to be fine.

Re: Naked crab refuses every shell?

* ONLY IF HER CONDITION GETS BAD ENOUGH TO WHERE YOU THINK IT COULD BE FATAL* Gently place her in a shell that is her size and leave her.
She might or might not keep it but if you've done the cup method and she's still not buying it THATS all I can suggest.

Re: About to put down my entire tank...

A little late, and I don't know too much, but I saw you said you were considering freezing them? That brings up a red flag for me. Because morally, you shouldn't do that, and legally, unless they are critically injured or in irreversible pain, you can't do that. Freezing ANY TYPE of unharmed animal ...

Re: DECLINING CONDITIONS TURN INTO A SURFACE MOLT?!

Our grass is not fertilized with anything. I'll make her a boiled egg tonight. And I know, but I want her strong and ready to return to her tank. Her tankmate likes to rough house with her. Not hurt her, but they push each other around sometimes! Lol! :D they don't know who has the pants of the rela...

Re: DECLINING CONDITIONS TURN INTO A SURFACE MOLT?!

She has some hazelnut and some dried grass to snack on. Something that won't rot so I won't have to bother her, but something she can regain her strength upon. I'll give her until about Saturday before I give her a good checkup and then I'll return her to the other crabs'

She has BIGGGGG trouble climbing though she's missing no legs¿ has some issues moving around, trembles and her body vibrates when she's trying to move. She's quickly becoming w...

Hi. So my hermit crab, red, has started to slow down. She's not in pre molt, because she has bright red legs and a purple claw. and solid black eyes. Re: My hermit crab is drinking salt water?

I'm not being offensive in any way but I completely changed their setup over the past few days from a 5 gallon critter keeper to a 10 gallon aquarium and got dechlpronater, 10 pounds of play sand, cocoa fiber, salt water conditioner, fresh and salt water dishes and climbing equipments shells, ORGANI...
