I would leave her be and make sure the conditioners are just right. Also I would put her close to the food so if she is struggling she has close access to it.

You should treat it with some water conditioner first. Or a simpler option, in my opinion, is just to get a big jug of bottled water at the dollar store. It lasts pretty long and is safe for the crabs.

I agree. It's not unusual for them to switch into a too large (or sometimes even too small) shell just before digging down to molt. I've had crabs put on ridiculously too big shells only to dig down a few days later. They come up fitting in that shell really well. So the too big shell may be in pre...
