That is very odd. What do you feed them? The only major concern I see is size. I would immediately upgrade tank size or else put one of the larger ones in the other tank. 3 is too many for a 10 gallon unless they are teeny tiny, and even 2 crabs in a 10 gallon is cutting it if they're large. 2 small...

Does she have her shell on?? Or is she naked? Naked crabs should always be considered an emergency and I would post as such if so. I would separate them for now until more can be done. Are there lots of shell in the tat? How big is the tank? Only three crabs? Species? Etc. post any necessary details...

I use a small Tupperware container with the plastic needlepoint mat talked about above ^^^. Good luck!

Wow, thanks, you really don't know how much that helps! Yes, [s]he is new. They've changed positions a tiny bit but hasn't moved, but now I'm much more hopeful!
That was pretty much my reaction at the Es near me! I had never seen anything other than PPs till then, it was crazy!

Thanks for the advice! I now only have two Es, but the one who switched chose a turbo over some D shells too, so go figure! Crabs are weird.

Thanks for the response!! Yeah, I already have the Joann's shell bag, it's great! I got this one because the shells are huge, (turns out I don't need them that big!!), the Joann's ones are great but pretty limited in size. As far as I know it is safe unless heated, and if it's underground that shouldn't be a problem. Just rinse or soak and make sure is is large enough to accomidate any crab with any crazy shell w/out them getting stuck! Cool idea, I'd love to hear if it works/see some pictures!

Awesome, sounds like you know all the areas of concern. Also, once they come up it might be best to give them a hidey place or somewhere covered to sleep under. Good luck!

A crab without a shell is very, very weak and yes, could have been attacked for his shell. The guy in the picture is--almost to much so! However, the other stays in the cocohut, I think she has PPS.... I'll leave her to adjust, though.
