Re: Tank is now flooding..
Oops... Sorry for giving out the wrong info. I saw someone who once had a flood and replaced their sub. Now I know! ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Tank is now flooding..
I'm believe you have to replace it all
I would do it soon though so the crab that's getting ready to molt doesn't surface molt. Do you have any crabs underground?

Air Plants?
I have seen some people using air plants in their crabitat and I was wondering if those were safe, btw, do live plants in the crabitat have to be organic?

Re: Tote crabitat question
Ok thanks all. I will try and see if I can use my 10 gallon outside then split them. Right now 3 are underground so for now I'm good.

Re: Tote crabitat question
I see, do you ink it would help two make add more climbing room and a second level until I am able to get a bigger crabitat? If so, do you know what would be a sturdy way to attach it?

Re: Tote crabitat question
Essentially you would just be giving them a topper, which doesn't really give you more room, except to climb. Do you have the room to go to a 30g tote? I'd like to give them more room to climb and add some more sub so they can have more room to molt(if it does that.) I could try to add a second lev...

Re: Tote crabitat question
I understand that, I would be able to add more substrate though so that might help a little (right?) because as of right now I can't get a bigger tank.JulesRolyCrab wrote:Usually the size/crab rule is determined on footprint of the tote/tank. For molting room.

Tote crabitat question
So I have a 15 gallon tote with 6 crabs in it. Obviously, that's overcrowded. I had 5 crabs not knowing the size till I calculated it (stupid thing to do) then someone gave me a crab. I was wondering if it is possible for me to get another tote and flip it and place it on the top so I can give them ...

Apple and Lemon tree wood safe?
I have a friend who has a green apple tree and a lemon tree. I am 100% sure there are no pesticides. Would the wood be safe to put in the crabitat?

HugsForHermits or Hermie's Kitchen?
I'm looking to order some more food for the crabbies. I've debated whether ordering from HugsForHermits on Ebay or Hermie's Kitchen on etsy. I've noticed Hugsforhermits is cheaper. Has anybody ordered from both of them and which one do you recommend?

I planted some chia seeds right into the soil a couple about a week ago. They grow fast and are great.

How do I make leaves safe for crabby food?
I was going to go and collect some leaves that are safe for crabs to eat outside, but how do I clean them? Or do I just put them right in the food bowl? And also, is there a way I can get rid of pesticides/chemicals if there is any?

Exotic Hermit Crab Temperature?
Does anyone know the best temperature and humidity to keep a crabitat with multiple exotic species? I'm not getting exotics soon, but I'm just researching about exotics for in the future ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
