Probably a round opening, turbo shells is what he might like.

I recommend not buying these but instead, but buying other shells with D shaped openings like babylonia shells, as like @purpleperson said these are thin and thin shells and clumsy crabs don't go well together as if they fall they might crack the shell.

Are there any dechlorinators reccomended to use for dechlorinating the water for my hermit crabs? I need a cheap one that will last a while

I'm wanting to get exotics but the only way I would be able to house them is outside. the max temperature it gets is 105 degrees & I know that will kill them. Is their a cheap way to cool the tank?

4 of my crabs went down the first one last week, the second one this week, & the 3rd & 4th this morning. I'm a little nervous because I don't want anyone to run in to someone if their molting. I have about 2x the substrate of my biggest crabs shell, will they be okay?

I'm ordering some shells off some websites and I was wondering which is better. Naples or Deltona? I've found that Deltona is cheaper but I would like to hear your guys experiences with the companies.

If you are a beginner, I highly doubt you could raise them to land. It is an extremely pricey task, and also time consuming. only a handful of people in the world have done it. And guessing that you have a purple pincher it will be even harder. If you are intrested in attempting to raise them search...

If I were in your position I would quickly remove the hermit crab that is digging towards the molting crab and cut a soda bottle and place it over the molting crab so no crab will be able to reach him/her.
