Re: Possible Surface Molt
I lost her Friday I tried but the PPS was too much. My other crabs which I have had over three years now are doing beautifully. The other new one has molted already! I see a bit of a tiny pink thing at the bottom front of the tank!

Possible Surface Molt
My DH went to Pet Supermarket Tuesday Afternoon and Surprised me with two hermit crabs. The one dug down asap and I am not worried about it at all. The other one is a different story. It sat in the saltwater dish for two hours drinking and soaking. I could tell by the white ashy appearance and slow ...

Re: Reptitherm UTH Question
Thank-you very much for all your help. i have a thermostat I will use just to be on the safe side. Reptitherm UTH Question
Hello Everyone!
I have upgraded to a 30 Gallon tank and I have ordered the 50-60 Gallon UTH to put on the back. My question is how hot do these get. Do I actually need a thermo stat with this or can i just run it without. Thanks a bunch!

Re: I cant find her!
I think the crab I was seeing was my newest just changing shells. When I dug down I found two shells that could have been hers. I had her for 3 years and she was my very first crab. All 3 are ultra healthy and active. They are fed a lot of good protein. In two months there was nothing but two empty ...

Re: I cant find her!
You don't understand. I found her empty shell in the front of the tank. I had to dig and look for her. I cannot find her. She is without her shell and I am baffled. I just saw her yesterday. She is about golf ball shell and all. I am watching the sand in case I missed her.

A Bit Worried
As most of you know my Hermit crabs all went down at the same time for a mass molt right before Christmas. This is why i am worried. I hear shells against the tank for the past week. My concern is for the ones that are still molting! They are fed really good protein and all kinds of natural foods wh...
