Has anyone used these products?
I just ordered a peice of 24" Grapewood vine from 'Blooms and Branches". I didn't notice until after I ordered my product and went back to review the item that I ordered, that there is a warning that the vines are grown along wire and so some wire could be imbeded in the wood. Do you think it will b...

I Just Saved Merlin!
So there are two pet stores in my town and they both sell hermitcrabs. Neither of them have the best of conditions but one is alright and the other is kinda horrible. So anyway I decided to go out and politely educate bothe of them on proper conditions and all I got was a couple of pissed of attitud...

Re: Is Dift Wood From Fish Tank Safe To Use?
Yes, I've used a medication once in the tank, but that was a few weeks before I put this peice of wood in the tank. And that was a few months ago. Could it still be in the driftwood?

Re: Is Dift Wood From Fish Tank Safe To Use?
Ok, thanks. I just didn't know if since it was in my fishtank if there was anything harmful that could be transfered to my crabs and make them sick?

Is Dift Wood From Fish Tank Safe To Use?
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but will a peice of drift wood from my fish tank be safe to use with my hermit crabs? I'm not sure why it wouldn't be but I wanted to be safe and ask some experienced crabers first.

Re: Shy Crabs
So would this also be the reason they haven't been eating much. I've been filling up their food bowl everyday with fresh fruits and meat sources around 10pm and it doesn't look like they have been eating anything.

Re: Shy Crabs
Thanks; like I said I'm new to all of this and I didn't know how much was 'de-stressing' and how much was 'normal behavior'. So after my crabs settle in will the spend just as much time out during the day as the night? I use a 12/12 light schedule. Also is that a good day/night schedule or should I ...

Shy Crabs
I bought 4 Purple Pinchers a week ago from my local pet store. They are so shy and only come out at night. They burrow into the substrate during the day. Are they just destressing or will they ever come out and play during the day. The pet store had them in inadequate conditions so I figured that co...
