Unfortunately, I've got a pet smart and I couldn't spend the money until next weekend, but I appreciate you letting me know.

Re: Improving the crabitat
Thanks. I got the air pump hooked up the other day. The air stone in the fresh water isn't working right, but the salt water is bubbling away happily. The crabs flocked to it. I was amazed by how much they seem to love it. I also added another caddy with a small plastic flower pot in it. My biggest ...

Thanks. They are super active right now. I can't wait to hook up the air pump. It came today. Super excited.

Re: A couple of questions
Sounds like a plan then, I'll ask my parents for the tanks. You make an excellent point about not spending a ton of time & money upgrading. Plus I'll bet it's easier on the crabs. Thank you for all the help.

Re: Molting like crazy?
Thank you for all your replies wodesorel. They've all been helpful & interesting. It's good to know about them doubling. If my biggest one, Sophie, truly doubles next by next year she'll be huge. I'll need that 55 gallon sooner. Lol. My husbands fallen in love with them too. E want to get a webcam o...

Re: A couple of questions
That's awesome you were able to get that as part of an adoption. I grew up with large 55 gallon tanks. My parents don't keep fish anymore so I'm going to see if I can get them. But I know what you mean about how heavy they are. I googled the 15 gallon and I saw a few sparse pages on both long & tall...

Re: Molting like crazy?
Then I'm not going insane. Lol. They have molted quite a bit. They fit on a quarter a few short weeks ago, she'll and all. Now though, they are huge. How big can they get? I want to plan if I'll need that 55g in six months or so. Lol.

Re: Any Suggestions?
In a addition to the above suggestions, consider vines & plants dangling down & around the platform.

Re: A couple of questions
That's an awesome setup. Where did you get the tank? I can see keeping the food and water bowls up there. I'm glad I asked about sand. I'll stick to moss and coco fiber etc...

Re: Molting like crazy?
I didn't think it could be a matter of days. She just looked so much bigger it surprised me. Her and Calcifer. I'm not used to their post molt from the last one. I've got the favorite shell in all sizes & plenty of other choices. But maybe I'll get more of the green turbo. Maybe it's a texture thing...

A couple of questions
Ah ok. Thank you. I am thinking about getting a second heater to bring the temp up a bit more. I noticed they tend to prefer the area with the heater. Thought a control would be nice. I can splice one in if I need to. Temp is good overall. 75. Thanks Laurie I'll go ahead and add sand in it & see how...

Improving the crabitat
These are the additions I've made so far. The other plants & vines will be here next week. On Friday, my air pump will be here. It's strange to me, but my three most active crabs pop up at the same time, then proceed to explore their environment as a group. They start at their food & saltwater? Then...
