Re-attaching a UTH tip.
Happy that you got the IP unblocked (and Ironically, the notification that I got this message was in my email's spam box. I am glad I check it for valid emails. Happy that you will be able to get the bath soon. You may be able to get them for less than $20. When buying in bulk, you may be surprised.

You can get the spices and herbs at local health food stores, but Whole Foods *might* have them. I haven't been in trader Joes in a long time, so I am not sure about them. I am lucky to have two places around me that sell these types of things. If there is a 7 Grains around you, they may have the st...

No problem. At the other site, is it the only site you go to that comes up like that? If they are, I would contact them and let them know. They may have a group IP block in place and yous falls in that group. If you would like, I could get you the site admin's contact info.Anyway, here is what is th...

Sorry I didn't get to you last night. I got the email notification that the PM came in, but I had taken my nighttime meds and could hardly keep my eyes open. This is the link that has two recipes. I used a mixture of the two because CP needed something strong. http://crabstreetjournal.com/x...icle.p...

Infected Claw
As I said in a thread above, her treatment is over and she looks great (except for the missing pieces of claw and some permanent color change - at least until the next molt). I have some progression pics, but for the sake of bandwidth, I will just post links. I also changed the folders (in my photob...

quote:For the sake of argument, I would raise a concern that there might be some consequence to introducing an antibiotic to the crabitat... I will say more on this later (helping my kid with school work right now), but I wanted to address this with my crab. Even if this is true, I have Cutie Pie in...

I agree with the tea tree oil, and I was wondering why it would be used if it is on the avoidance list of food. My thought is that, like some medicines in humans, using small amounts can be beneficial. That leads me to my next question. I have been reading up on Clove (not clover) Oil. It seems to h...

Thank you!! I will go and get some tea tree oil today. I think my mom may have some too. That would save me a trip out to the store that carries the stuff. When they say sea salt, do they mean the ocean salt that I use to make their salt water solution, or sea salt that you can buy at the store for ...

Behavior is good. Limb, not so much. I realize that she may drop the limb, but what I am afraid of is the infection spreading to the other limbs or her main body. I think the term is called going septic. I have not done anything yet, but I do have the items I need if I do decide to. Honestly, I do n...

!!! I did not call my vet because I didn't think they could do anything, but I am researching a treatment and I called to see if maybe they have what I am looking for and one of their vets treats exotics and owns crabs!!! She is at lunch, so I left a message with everything I have done to help Cutie...

Thanks. Honestly, I will be okay. Sad though. I am more worried for my 9 year old, but when I talked to her last night, she sadi she would just name her next crab Cutie Pie. To be honest, I am not sure if she fully understands what it means for something to die, but then again she may, but does not ...

And I love crabs being alive. I will look at her (I just woke up) and see what she looks like. I will look at the crustacean forums and see of anyone has info on how to do it as pain free as I can. Last night, I also saw some type of antibiotic treatment that people with crayfish use. I wonder if th...
Infected Claw
At this point, if it is rot, my question is... Would it hurt? (as in would it be more harmful than not - not pain wise)I had my daughter play with her today, and told her to have fun and that Cutie Pie may not make it. She stroked her shell and held her for a bit. I really want her to make it. Cutie...

Yeah. I wasn't sure that hydrogen peroxide would be good or not. Honestly though, with what is going on, I will try almost anything. I know a vet that I may ask. I do not think she deals with crabs though. I am happy that she is still in good spirits.

That is depressing news, although I am not giving up right now. I have a question that I am really horrified to ask. I do NOT want to do this, but what about amputating the two affected limbs? I really do not want to do that, because loosing the limbs would be hard even if they just fell off, but to...
