API Aquarium Salt

So since this is what I have (API Aquarium Salt) it says to put a rounded teaspoon in a gallon of water. But since I'm using it for the crabs drinking water, how much should I use in a gallon?

Spritzing the sand.....

I saw on a site that I should use salt water if I spritz my sand. Then went to another and it said NOT to. Now that I have been doing this like 4 different times...are my crabs in danger? All 4 of them have been buried for a week now. It's a 20 gal. tank with 5 in. of sand/ substrate in it. Also, I ...

I'm new! Cleaning my crabitate...

Well that makes perfect sense. Guess I didn't look at it that way. So what temp. would you recommed the inside of the habitat to be kept at and I'm getting ready to have my 70 gallon tank all done, I know the heater I have on my 20 gallon tank won't be big enough...so how big of one will I need? One...

Can't keep the temp of tank, humidity level and temp of sand/substrate nedded.

I know I'm not supposed to be using a heating pad as a heater for my tank...but I haven't been able to find one big enough for my 20 gallon tank at the pet stores...is the heating really that bad to use if I check it constantly everyday? If my tank is 20 gallons...and if it's supposed to be on the s...

Can't keep the temp of tank, humidity level and temp of sand/substrate nedded.

I have a 20 gallon glass tank with an under tank heater.A vented lid I just cover if humidity level gets too low, and just a regular fish tank light fixture I use to bring up the tank temp. when it gets low. The problem is I'm fighting with this every single day. I have a salt water bowl, a salt wat...

Laurie, If you're doing a "deep clean" how can you clean out the tank properly if you're not taking your crabs out? When I do mine, I remove every thing and clean with vinegar then allow to dry. I don't understand how you can deep clean without removing them? Please understand I AM NOT trying to be ...

I have a 20 gallon aquarium with 4 crabs in it. I use play sand and mix it with a coconut Eco substrate in most of the tank. However I have noticed I have one crab that only likes to bury himself in just the substrate so I keep a special place with the sand underneath and about 2 in. of just the sub...

I'm kind of a neat freak so when I clean out my crabitat everyday, I do it at night usually around 9:00-10:00 p.m., and I take all 4 of my crabs out (even if they are buried) and put them in a "play tank." I take food and water bowls out and wash them, clean the sand of any food or doo-doo,and "fix"...
