Crab-In-A-Cup at Wal-Mart Stores!
Hi Jedi, I have some concerns as I need to put up my hermies for adoption and was hoping for some advice before I post. My 7yr old son brought home hermit crabs from school. I did a lot of research on care as I wanted to make them a great home. I bought a 10g tank for 3 med crabs. They all immediate...

A Journey Through Pools
That sounds like a good idea...I have that needlepoint plastic sheet. Here is a picture of my pools. It's not done yet, as I'm stuck on the pool thing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/98606306@N07/9527776670/

A Journey Through Pools
Hey Jedi, I'm working on my new 40g and I'm using mini paint pans for the pools. I have used silicone to glue pebbles down the slop into the pool, but what do you suggest for the bottom/sides? Do I have to glue things there as well, or can i just put some larger rocks in or plants? Another question:...

Grains...cooked or raw?
Lol That is so true! And something I can remember! I was just concerned with putting raw rice or wheatberries...they're so hard. I couldn't imagine my guys eating it that way. Thank you, once again!

Grains...cooked or raw?
Hi Guys! On the food list I see a lot of grains...oats, amaranth, barley, rice, quinoa. Sorry if this is a silly question, does it mean cooked, or as-is? Thank you! BTW...bought my 40g on craigslist! My 3 crabs have been under for over 3 weeks. As soon as they come up, they will be 'movin on up' fro...

Ok...I will change the gauge to the opposite side of the heat source and will also place it close to the substrate. All 3 of them are down now and haven't seen them...even around 11:30pm when i used to see 1 or 2. I'm hoping they're molting because I added the uth which warmed up the sand. I'm sure ...

UTH/Thermometer placement
Hey guys...I'm really trying to do the best for my babes, but they don't seem happy. (Not that I'm looking for a big grin or anything) but i see in so many posts how their hermies are so active. My tank usually looks like still-life...which worries me. I have a 10G...3 crabs. On the left side of the...

Hey! I'm Denise and have had hermit crabs for about 3 months now. My son brought them home from school and I've been obsessing ever since! I have 4 or 3 hermies...Patrick, Sandy & 8-ball, & Tyson. They are currently in a 10g but I'm searching every day on Craigslist for 30/40g. Glad to be a member
