Re: molting and shell thief questions
Good news is he stayed in a shell all night and all day yesterday.I think he chowed down on some peanut butter and ate honey but didn't touch anything else I offered. Funny thing is the big claw was missing a part of the dark red exo on the bottom on the pincher and now it suddenly has it and its da...

The pincher is hollow and every one has all of their pinchers counted for ! My poor little naked crab is isolated in a 10g tank and keeps going from shell to shell then it rests and wanders around more.He has even eaten some peanut butter. molting and shell thief questions
I had a crab that was buried and I woke up this morning to see that it was in a different shell which was upside down on the other side of the tank. Another crab I have that has been in a shell too small is now in the spot where the molter was buried and is examining the empty shell. My freshly molte...

broken,chipped shell
One of the crabs I bought was active and very vivid colored. He has hair on his legs and all black tips but I did not notice how bad his shell was. It is so badly chipped and cracked that I can not tell what type or size the opening is. He isnt able to fully retract into the shell either and he wont ...

Hello
I just purchased 4 hermit crabs. This isnt my first run I owned one for 3 years when I was a teenager. I did not know half of what I know now though! I also have a large animal family of 2 fiddler crabs,a bird, dog, rabbit, dwarf hamster, and several fish.
