Resist the urge to handle them for a few months. They get stressed easily. Temp 83°F humidity 83% RH. Lots of spare shells. Enjoy watching them. They are like a tv sometimes.

Assuming all hermit crabs suffer PPS to some extent, has there ever been a study done on the survival rate? I mean I love these little guys, but if having them as pets means we are killing a large percentage of the captured crabsm arent we the bad guys?

If his little cave is exposed on the bottom glass you might want to put a postit note over it. Think of it like a shower curtain to give him some privacy. It will help him destress better.
