Can't remember the name of a product
I can't remember what they are called but I have seen other crabbers using them in the past in place of suction cups. They are plastic and I believe maybe t- shaped and go around the top of the tank. They are used to hang things like vines and nets. Also I'm going to hobby lobby what kind of vines a...
Re: Confused
I miss spoke I should have said dip. I always read on here it's a good idea to dip in fresh water to get rid of molt smell and to make them both smell the same? She isnt all the way down her shell is almost visible from the surface. She has a window next to the glass which is covered normally anyway...
Confused
My crab krusty just came up from his second molt since I have had him ( September will be a year! ) He's barely a medium size. He came up at the 3 1/2 week mark which is sooner than last time when he stayed down 4 1/2 weeks. He has a hard exo, bright purple claw and is very active so no worries ther...

Lonely crab?
One of my pp's ruby went down for her first molt a few days ago. I have had her for several months and she is an active crab and was eating and drinking/storing a ton of water before she went down so I'm not worried about her at the time being.... however krusty my other pp seems depressed. He is go...
Chirping?
I just discovered my medium pp went down this evening and while I was changing out food I heard chirping! The only other crab in the enclosure was in a hut. It was a soft kind of chirp. Should I be alarmed?

What to feed while I'm gone for 3 days??
I will be out of town for 3 1/2 days coming up. What can I put in for them to eat that won't spoil in 3 days? I have 2 smallish medium pp's and their humidity is usually high end of 80's and temps in the low to mid 80's.

Re: Crab moving shell
They have 8 shells of various sizes and types between the 2 of them. Mostly all turbos and pearl lined except 2. My crabs are both medium sized. I finally caught him in the act the other night and secretly watched. He is pushing that shell out and is trying on another shell near it. He then plays wi...

Thank you all for your replies! My house is about 76 right now with our AC going. Wode I can unplug the heater in the summer? My house gets hot even with the air on.

Yeah I have a cooler areas. The 90 degree area is near the heater. I did notice they were still moving around in the crabitat and they managed to trash the place so I guess they were good lol.
