Roaches
I have roaches in my crabitat. From tiny babies that hang out in the food dish, to adults that hide out in the driftwood decoration. What is the best way to get rid of them? I currently have two crabs that have burrowed under the sand, been there for several days. I might add here that they do this ...

Re: Is My Bigger Crab Bullying?
I've read the rule of thumb is 1 crab per gallon, so I should be able to fit 15 - 20 small to med crabs... I've also read measure the size of their shells, allowing one inch per gallon. I would think a 20 gallon tank should be plenty of room for 1 Large crab (half dollar size), 1 medium crab (quarte...

Re: Is My Bigger Crab Bullying?
I will put additional shells in the tank when I get home. I have several extra in the tank, but I'll add a few more, too. I also bought a couple more crabs, hoping maybe that will give them all something new to do, instead of push their weight around the tank. These are already active, as they are c...

For three years, my 3 crabs have all gotten along. The last couple of days, tho, I've found my Large crab (half dollar size shell) standing over my Medium crab (maybe Quarter size)with the tips of his legs inside Medium's shell. Medium obviously is holed up inside his shell, and there's lots of crab...

Re: Green algea? on sand
My fourth crab went underground this weekend. He must have heard me talking about him. Lol
Now I have a 20 gallon crabitat with no crabs to observe.

Re: Green algea? on sand
Ok, thanks for the info! I can easily clean the very top of the sand with a spoon. And as long as I know they are under for a reasonable amount of time, I'll stop worrying. LOL Thanks for replying!

Green algea? on sand
Please allow me to give some back story to my concerns: I bought 2 crabs from a petstore in Biloxi MS in April. I set them up in a 10 gallon tank, with correct humidity, water and food. In September, I bought 2 more from Fort Walton Beach, FL. When I got home, I downsized my three fish in my 20 gall...
