I guess I'll try just dumping water throughout the sand. The main thing I was worried about was flooding as you said. But I'll do it carefully. I honestly don't know how it gets so dry so fast. I've always had this problem. And yes I did have it sand castle consistency. But it dries up so fast.

Hmm, maybe my "blueberry" I thought I had is a viola then. I found it at a local animal store here mixed in with the other hermit crabs. Was so excited when I saw it.

Oh ok thanks! I'm going to be making another crab tank soon, 75 gallon or maybe bigger, and will definitely buy a air pump for the pools in it.

I have always had salt and fresh water pools of course. But I see so many people that have bubblers in them, but I could never find why people used the air pumps. I was just curious if they need them or why people use them? I've been planning to buy one. Thanks!

Hmm, I may just buy a 75 gallon tank or bigger and put either strawberry and blueberry hermit crabs, or either largers hermit crabs. Not sure yet. Because idk if I want to risk it buying jumbos now.
