I was wondering if anyone knew some good ways to make hermit crab food. I've always given my hermit crabs cut up fresh foods every night. Or I bought homemade foods on etsy. I've been thinking of making homemade dry food for them and putting it in containers, making it so much more simple to give to...

And it's sorta hit or miss. A couple don't mind it, but thats about all. I rarely give it to them because of this. Sometimes when I give them it they really enjoy it and are dragging it all around the tank, or other times its completely untouched.

Its a 75 gallon tank.

I love my big one He is about the size of the palm of my hand. I tried to get some better pictures of him, but he didn't want to stay still of course

Yesterday I was redoing my tank, and adding new sand and all that fun stuff. Well today he was all the way out of the shell and there was definitely a smell.

And yes I offer calcium stuff.

The last time I added a crab was in August I think it was.

But I checked on him this morning and he isn't moving at all. I even picked him up and touched him and he didn't move or retract into his shell at all. Thought I would check on him later and see if there is any smell.

Actually I just looked him over better a minute ago and he is hairy and has the black tips.
