Also, the sand EE ratio does a better job when it is 5 parts sand to 1 part EE

If you have ths UTH still heating you can easily remove it and repost it somewhere else, thats how I always move mine to new tanks. They stay sticky

Re: Depressed or molting?
In research of hits and misses for over 13 years the ONLY reason to put crabs in any water is to stop a shell jacking and that is after ALL other options have not worked

Re: Depressed or molting?
NEVER put a crab in water to dip or bathe. This has been tbe root of several deaths because they are already stressed and if it IS a molt you can hurt him severely

Re: Ecuadorian Molt
It hasn't even been a month and the same crab has just molted again which is quite confusing. He's a bigger guy. This time he is naked and dropped his big puncher and two other legs. I'm so confused on why he is molting so frequently. There was minimal signs of exo but dropped limbs were squishy as...

Re: Bought crabs in painted shells and...
It happens, I had one that stayed in a painted shell for a LONG time, just let them molt and they may be ready for a better shell after they come up

Re: Whitest PP I have ever seen! Not sure why...
I was talking to my friend who owns the pet shop, and she mentioned they took in a crab from one of their customers earlier in the day. They were pretty sure she'd had the crab for something like 5 or more years, and it was kept by itself. That made them pause a bit about putting it in their tank a...
Re: Flood
How far past their normal molting schedule are they? If they are several months past the time when you normally see them up for their molts than I would dig. But even more importantly I would think would be figuring out why your tank has flooded yet again. :( But dig Carefully! If you must. I accid...

When you mixed the sand and Eco earth, whas the EE moistened? The substrate should be sand castle consistency to ensure the tunnels do not collapse and suffocate the crabs while they are molting
