Re: Skinny Dipping Crab!
Update: when I went to go try and remove him after posting, I saw that his small pincher had fallen off or somehow detached itself. Looking over no it seems as if he’s climbing up the exit ramp, but I don’t know what to do. If he already lost one claw, I don’t want to stress him anymore trying to mo...

Re: Insects
Honestly, i'm not sure if they can eat ladybugs. You can check the safe food list to see what they can eat and the unsafe food list to see what they can't, but i'm not sure ladybugs would be on there. I know that if you have isopods in the tank with them they will occasionally catch and eat those, b...

Re: Favorite Tank Decor
I just bought 11 plants, a small holed log and a smallish bent over log tree. They are in the mail still but I will post when I redecorate. I'm so excited to watch my little ones explore plus I'm getting a upgrade tank and a bunch of food from wode so they are about to be very spoiled I love it whe...

Re: So Many Molts!
How warm is your tank getting? If the tank is warming up and you feel like you have to eliminate some heat, I would turn off the UTH you have under the tank, until you can move it to the back of the tank. That will mess with the molters more than the heat lamps. When it's under the tank you can cook...

So Many Molts!
I have a 20 long tank and right now 4 of my crabs are molting, and 4 are active. There are 4 small and 4 medium (i'm trying to get an upgrade soon) and they should start coming up soon! I changed the sub and they all went down, and i'm starting to get really worried, and fighting the urge to dig is ...

Re: Substrate suddenly dry
Thank you! We let the silicone on the humidifier dry for more than a couple days, and it was waterproof. Right now I have have some crabs molting in the UTH area, so i'm not going to try and move it now. I do have a side of the tank that is always very moist and humid, and my thermometer and hydrome...

Substrate suddenly dry
I recently changed out the sub in my tank to a 3 to 2 mixture of ecoearth to play sand, and for about a week it was a good sandcastle consistency and perfectly damp. Recently however,it still has the same sandcastle consistency, but the humidity is really low and it's dry. Does anybody know why? I'm...

Re: Very Confused
Ok, thank you for clearing that up. Thankfully I stopped the fight. However, about an hour ago a crab that I got about a week or so ago came out and was prowling around the crabitat. He had been really mellow and shy, and stayed hidden, but in the last two or so days has been fairly active. I just g...

Re: Very Confused
I'm sorry about the loss of your crab. Honestly-I've seen this before. Was this the crab's first molt with you? Because I have seen what I'd call a PPS death because it was all related to the crab's first molt since purchase that is like what you described. Molted, seems totally fine, a couple more...

Very Confused
I don't know if this is the right place for this post so i'm sorry if it's not. One of my crabs who recently came up from a molt, who was dug up right after shedding her exo, but has been fine, happy and healthy 2 weeks since, was crawling around, and happily pushing over a small piece of cholla woo...

Re: Crab Dug Up Mid-Molt
Thankfully, my little crabby is now in the main tat and is back to destroying everything! It was satisfying when her BP turned a deep purple! I was afraid she would lose some color due to being dug up. Your crab looks great!
