Thanks for your reply...I couldn't find what was described in the instructions and I didn't see a screw either so I'm going to get a digital one...I just never thought it would be that off! :-/ can u calibrate a digital one or are they known to be more accurate?

Hello! I followed the instructions to calibrate the gauge but fell asleep...is there a max time you should leave it in the bag w the salt? When I woke up this morning it was reading 55 and still is when I got home...is it common for them to be that off?

He's done great except still naked...I offered him 3 new turbos and he still refused...still eating n drinking as normal though

He's doing good...he was drinking this morning when I got up and before I left for work he was eating still naked and I know per text book that means he's sick but he's acting like a "normal" crab just no shell...

Sara...this is my original post...since then I have gotten a thermometer and a humidity gauge...I actually have 2 sets...and new shells from Bobbie...can't remember what else but what Bobbie suggests...I do...Geoffrey is hm doing great after his molt in same conditions Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

@PTCrabs Can you please fill out the emergency questionnaire so that we can help figure out why this crab will not stay shelled. Also from the pics you've shown, almost none of your shells are appropriate for land hermit crabs. I see a few that may be, but they don't look like they are large enough...

I will second Mool, if turbos are offered I think he would be more likely to take a shell, they are better suited to their abdomens. Specifically silver carved turbos or pearled turbos as they tend to be lighter.That being said, but I fear something is probably wrong with the lil guy, and the best ...

Some type of progress...not fully in..,just hanging out BUT he's "in" a shell...that's more than he's been in 8 days!

Yes it's been about 6-7 days...he's still eating and drinking and very active at night just as if he had a shell on...praying he decides to get in a shell or molt and figure it out but as of now he's living his life pantless
