After Molting Question
My crab named elmo just came up after Molting. It's moving and eating all is well but my question is elmo has almost like dry skin hanging on its leg almost like it didn't complete the molt is this normal? And if not what should I do?

He smelled more fishy than a fish it was really bad we had to put him in the back floornoard because the smell was that strong.

If he was dead, he would be limp and falling out of the shell when you tilted it forward. Since he is new he may just need to molt. What are your tank conditions like? You answered well enough yeah no rotten smell just a slight fish/ocean smell and he is far in is shell. I do know he is very easy to scare because when we walk in the room when he was out. So maybe there is still hope.
