I don't think he made it...
Up until Friday, he was moving. Friday, I found him streaking again and stuck in this position not moving. I filled a shell with water and slid him into it with no protest from him. He was barely moving; although it may have been my eyes playing tricks. I can't tell if he was still alive at this poi...

Re: Update on 2 days naked
I love it! He is still hanging out in the shell I stuck him in. Good sign. I shaved off some more cuttlebone and gave it to him along with some more honey. I think he is molting.

Re: Update on 2 days naked
OMG! He is a streaker again! Found him out of his shell near the shallow salt pool (which had gotten almost dry) I must have missed that last night. Filled everything up gave more shells, he is NOT moving well, but did eat all of the honey I had left out for him. So I reshelled (honestly that is bes...

I froze tiny balls of raw ground pork. That is appropriate to give for protein correct?

Re: Update on 2 days naked
Okay everyone! I am feeling much better about this. He is still in his little hut but I put fresh veggies and raw honey within his grasp. I looked thru the hut and he emerged from his shell (still in it) but his feelers were up and he looked good! I dont want to disturb him too much but have a quest...

Re: Tank cracking
Nope not new, came with the crabs . It is still holding together while we try to negotiate someone down on a 55 gal. I would like a stand so we can put it out in our living room (and have storage underneath).

Re: Update on 2 days naked
I do! I picked up some more Raw honey. Good news is that he has had enough strength to completely do a 180. Barely moving but looking darker and STILL IN THE SHELL!!! The tank is about 99% humidity. As soon as I take the top off it drops to 70% but then goes back up. It seems to be from the new subs...

Re: Tank cracking
I am Craigslisting, LetItGo, OfferUp and VarageSale. I am actually looking at a 55 and possibly a 90. I have a local guy who has 2 40 gal with glass lids on a stand (one down low on up high. It is my last resort but he is local and only wants 80. I went to look at a 55 gal after the woman told me no...

Re: Update to the substrate
Mine is the first one. As posted on the guidelines, make the sub 3 x as deep as the biggest crab (on my tank, half of it is filled with sub so that takes up a lot of room of the tank. So mine works well for ping pong sized hermies. But I believe if you have bigger ones, you may want to look at a hig...

Tank cracking
Sigh... just when you think, you've got it down.... Yesterday when adding the sand, we noticed a hairline crack at the bottom of the tank. We are hearing loud popping and splintering this morning. Now I need to find a new tank. Previously we had a 40 gal breeder. Recommendations? This will hold 7 PP...
