Re: Looking for stunning PP & Exotics pics we could use for

Here's a HR I have of an E. Background stinks but when zoomed in, it's great.Image

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

Thanks all for the suggestions. We live in an uber tiny house so I always found space in the fridge. Will probably continue to store water there, but will let it come to room temp before adding.

Thanks again!

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

Great news everyone - the drowned god saw fit to save my little E! He resurfaced today and all is well. Seems like I was lucky and fortunate to have noticed the situation.

Thanks all for the input and support *claps*

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

Still no sign of him - but I'll take that as a good thing. The whole "herd" went down about a week ago and have been tunneling like crazy.

I'll let everyone know the outcome!

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

No sight of him. Sadly I have 2 crabs in very similar shells, and only 1 is out. I do have many who recently went down to molt. Guess I sit and wait.

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

I moved him up on the cork last night, as it was warm. I'm guessing he crawled off after he warmed up and is now destressing. I'll take a closer look tonight, but won't be digging up any sub.

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

Update: after not moving for about 3 hours last night and only a scratching sound coming from inside his shell, this morning the little guy was not where I left him. Either he crawled off or someone, well...let's hope he crawled off. I don't see him now though, so perhaps he went under. I'll keep ev...

Re: Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

I just had 2 empty pitchers and they were easy to fill. I will be moving to something else and storing elsewhere.

Cold Water/ Drowned Crab?

So I have a 29g with 6 small/medium Es. Planning to upgrade shortly. Did a water change tonight, premake water in advance and store in fridge. Tank has been running for a year and numerous successful molts. There's nothing wrong with the temp, tank, substrate, salt or fresh water - in short, no issu...

Re: Raising tank temperature

Hey there! I'm on Ohio, so I've been dealing with winter for the past few months. I run a good UTH and insulate my tank on 2 sides, and then run a heating lamp with a day and night bulb, so it's on 24/7. 1. Get an accurite thermometer /hygometer. The heating lamps do suck humidity. 2. Use a glass to...

Thanks all for the compliments - happy he is well. Was down for a long time for his size, but I was patient!

Re: Fresh Molt!

It could be a hairy triton. The colors and teeth are similar. Mine isnt as "pointy" but, shells are certainly all a bit unique.

Re: Fresh Molt!

Don't think that's it. It has narrow teeth on the inside rim and it hasn't been cut. I plucked it right off the beach. :)

Re: Fresh Molt!

Great question - one of my beach finds from a shelling trip. No clue what it is, but he likes it and I have nothing else similar to it.
