Alright so I'll get a 20 long then?
When I get the upgrade, how do I turn my current 10 gallon into a topper?

Floor vs Climbing Space
So I'm looking to finally upgrade my 10 gallon tank, since my small hermies are slowly but steadily growing into medium hermies And I just have a quick question: when looking to upgrade for PPs, should I focus more on the width or height?

Re: Not sure if this is a problem?
Edit: I don't spray substrate- instead of mixing substrate- let the crabs do it for you- add 1" of moistened ecoearth to your playsand every 24 hours. They will mix it together. That will boost humidity [emoji6] Thanks so much! Humidity in my tank isn't really a problem; it's always around 85-90%! ...

Re: Not sure if this is a problem?
Right, and should I really spray the sand where molters are? And if I already have crushed cuttlebone and eggshell in my food mix, should I add another calcium bowl or something?

Re: Not sure if this is a problem?
Also, how could I make molts be generally smoother and better for my hermies in the future?

Re: Not sure if this is a problem?
Ok I was just worried about how small his pincher was ^^; and no, it's play sand from Home Depot. I'm hoping to mix in EE when all 3 crabs are up.

Not sure if this is a problem?
Hi, I just noticed something really worrying! I just noticed my smallest crab has very small and frail looking legs on one side, while the other side looks fine. Now maybe I'm just seeing things but I'd like to know your guys' thoughts. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170421/c56fc049acba4f72d3257...

Re: adding substrate?
Welcome back! You can add one inch of substrate per 24 hours [emoji4] do not pack it down. As far as remodeling- you really have to be careful not to collapse substrate by picking things up and moving them. I love branches- oak branches. Bake or freeze to debug. Should be free of pesticides and fer...

Re: Dry substrate?
First never pour water directly into the sub you will end up with a flood or bacterial bloom. 2nd you sub won't hold moisture with out being mixed with coco fiber. If your sand is not damp enough it may not hold tunnels and could collapse it's possible your crab could have dug and had the sand coll...

Dry substrate & possible molter?
I just came back home after a week, and left premade food for the crabbies with my family. I've been doing a really bad job caring for them since I always take time with school and never make time to care for the crabs... I'm trying to improve myself, so I'm planning on adding a lot more to my tank....
