Re: Do you ISO a molter every time?
I only ISO a molter if they are streaking or surface molting, or if I notice other crabs have unusual interest in a molter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk My substrate is about 6.5 inches in most spots. Except for their "trails." [emoji38] What does "unusual interest" look like? Would...

Re: How often?
I've put rollie pollies in my tank before. They snacked on some of the leftovers, but died off after a couple weeks. I just collected some from outside. But I wouldn't say I'd do it again for fear of introducing something harmful into the tank, if that's possible. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using...

Re: Dug Up a Crab, He's Shell-less and Molting??
I had the same problem several months ago. Almost the exact same situation occured. I found a pre moulter nude under the soil. He even had his nutrient bubble on his abdomen. I immediately removed him and placed him in ISO with as many shells as possible. Unfortunately, he did end up dying, I think ...

Re: DOES THE FOOD NEED TO BE CRUSHED OR BABY FOOD CONSISTENC
I feed mine chunks of food as well as organic baby food puree. They can eat it either way but they're quite good at ripping off bites for themselves.

Re: New memebr! Hello, and here is my crabitat!
Oh no, my oldest crab is about 6 or 7 though! My methods were, let's just say below subpar, when I got my first crabs. But I loved them so much, I spent my time researching and improving my care. My crabs molt pretty regularly, and they're growing at what seems like a rapid pace. I've never had prob...

New memebr! Hello, and here is my crabitat!
I've been raising crabs for about 11 years now, since I got my first two crabs in junior high school. The hobby has stuck with me since then and they're absolutely the coolest animals to care for. I currently have 5 small/medium crabs, with one being a brand new (and tiny) addition to the group. I a...
