Re: Food gone bad?
Has it been open for awhile? Or is it brand new? But that's odd... I suppose I've never had that exact variety so I'm not really sure. Unless something in the batch didn't get dried enough and is starting to ferment? Only thing I can even think might have happened. :/ I've had it for a little while...

Re: Food gone bad?
I mean, it could just be fine and is how the product settles, I mean I doubt the crabs would notice if its just slightly "off" but if there is truly something wrong that could be a problem too. Perhaps she will just replace the product and that will be the end of it? You are referring to the "beard...

Re: Food gone bad?
I would contact the vender on the bottle to get your money back and explain the situation. Definitely seems odd- but they should be able to tell you what is up as well. Can do! I know the vender and she's all about the safety of her customers and their pets. The expiration date is good but it just ...

Food gone bad?
Hey guys! I just have a little bit of a concern. I feed my guys flukers premium variety diet as a staple food. And today when mixing the food for feeding, I noticed the consistency of it was off. It looked like it had gotten damp but it's always sealed tight and never in a damp area. Also, the smell...

No Power, Temp is around 73
We got hit by this ice storm and power is out. My heating source is run on electric so my tanks have no heat. My overall temp is 73 and I don't have any insulation set up for my tanks. Anyone know of a way to keep heat up for them?! I'm really worried about my babies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapat...

Re: Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
Update: Diesel has dug down, and normally he doesn't. Which means he may be attempting to molt as well. Pearl has dug, but she is a normal digger so I leave all tunnels alone and simply change food and water. Kenny has been moved into the ISO seeing as though he is alone now and is more active. Colo...

Re: Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
So glad to hear that he's okay! ! Sorry also for the odd side question. Do you remember at all what he was doing before you found him that way? I have a crab that I'm worried about and I'm afraid he may be surface molting. Just trying to gain as much info as possible. Thanks in advance! Sent from m...

Re: Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
Day 6: 95% of exo is gone, he is up and moving well. I went away to my boyfriend's for the weekend and my older brother monitored the crabbies. I got home and saw he was fairing well!! Gonna keep him in the KK until Friday and then reintroduce him back into the main tank Sent from my iPhone using Ta...

Re: Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
Day 3: He has popped out some and has pulled the exo to him so he can eat it. Temp is around 81 and humidity is around 80 as well (my new digital hygro is saying 99 but it's gauged for reptiles I suppose so I have my analog on in as well to get a proper reading until I get it calibrated). He is movi...

Re: Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
Okay, make sure he has his exo to eat also. That is very important. Any chance you can make his area dark so he is able to destress? Perhaps cover the kk with fake plants? Good luck! I will pray for your baby! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Yes he has his whole exo in with him plus caps full of h...

Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
I'm glad that you have isolated Kenny. Make sure Kenny has organic raw honey, calcium (egg shells, calcium carbonate, cuttlebone, oyster shell), and protein rich foods (crickets, mealworms, grasshoppers, chicken). Also provide dechlorinated (prime) fresh water and marine (instant ocean) saltwater. ...

Emergency!! Surface molter ripped out of shell
I had no idea Kenny was surface molting. He had to have just done it today. I got home half an hour ago and Diesel has ripped Kenny out of his shell literally two minutes ago. He made it back in himself thank the lord above. But now I have him isolated with healing foods. I just need to know what to...
