HCA: Hermit Crab Association

It is an ultra theme heating pad and I don't know what insulation is.

For two years I have struggled with Uth since they don't hear my tank enough! I have a glass lid on the tank and applied it correctly (I checked instructions) but it doesn't heat. I just use a heat same but those have to be constantly on which creates humidity problems. Has anybody else had similar ...

I would put him in isolation, if you smell a fishy stench he is dead.

Try to get him back in his shell also if he is giving of a strong fishy scent he is dead. (Don't confuse with molt smell which is like chemical smell)

I am trying to tell if my hermit crab is molting or dead. He has molted once before and was fine before this. He went naked and nearly drowned in the salt water. I put him in iso and he wouldn't move on his own other than little movements. Now he is completely limp but he only has a light stench if ...

I am going through a similar situation, if he smells dead he is dead, if not keep keep him in isolation and try not to bother him. Sorry about you crab

Bernard is now completely limp but is really staying in his shell. he also has a light dead crab smell. I can't smell it by sticking my nose in the tank. only if I get really close does he smell lightly but some of my hermit crabs had a bit of a bad scent also so I'm not sure if he is dead or surfac...

Also Bernard has been healthy until now and he didn't have bad PPS.

I put him back in his shell and put some honey near him but he got out of the shell and other than that he hasent moved much.

Under an hour and he is still alive doing the same thing.
